Cheryl Spinner is the Director of Bach to Rock Wayne, NJ and is so excited to be a part of this amazing music program! Cheryl earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music with a Concentration in Music Industry from Monmouth University. She interned at Columbia Records and has spent the last decade as Music Director for the country duo Spinn in addition to teaching and guiding performers and songwriters from the Tri-Sate Area. Cheryl is a singer, songwriter, pianist, and plays a unique Appalachian Country instrument called the Autoharp. Cheryl is thrilled to share her experience with the next generation of musicians!

Elena Conklin is our Administrative Assistant at Bach to Rock! She grew up here in Wayne and fell in love with music at a young age. She participated in choir in middle school and high school, and loves to sing for fun! Elena graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a BA in Music Industry. She’s so excited to help all Bach to Rock students, young and old, have an amazing learning experience and create long-lasting memories of music school to carry with them forever! Amanda is our first ever intern here at Bach to Rock! She is an aspiring music teacher, music producer, and audio engineer. She is also an assistant mixing engineer who has a background in Piano and Guitar! She is currently receiving her Bachelor’s in Music Production at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Amanda has been studying music for ten years, now! Growing up, she always had a passion for music, performing, singing, dancing, and songwriting. She also has the desire to become multi-instrumentalist one day, like many of the students at Bach to Rock! Come and meet our enthusiastic intern!
Carolina is our violin, voice, and piano teacher at Bach to Rock! She is studying Music Education at Montclair State University, and ultimately aims to open up her own music school in the future! She has had many national and international performance opportunities through her involvement in the choral community as well! Carolina is classically trained, and also has a great interest in musical genres like jazz and latin. She is ready and eager to help her students grow as musicians at B2R Wayne!
Casey is thrilled to be teaching voice and piano at Bach to Rock. She is studying Music Composition at Montclair State University. For over 10 years, she has been singing, playing, and performing and was a part of the first tour of A Christmas Carol. She has professional credits in musical theater and has experience performing pop, country, and jazz music as well. Being able to teach is an amazing opportunity for her, and she absolutely loves to watch her students improve!
Danny teaches piano, trumpet, voice and Early Childhood classes! He graduated from William Paterson University with a BA in Music. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, NJPAC, The Bushnell Performing Arts Center and prestigious ensembles such as New Jersey All-State Band, All-Eastern Honors Band, and the New Jersey Intercollegiate Ensemble. His favorite genres of music, including pop, classical, jazz, R&B, and rock. If you want to become an amazing piano player like Danny, he’s your guy!
Jackie is one of our piano teachers! She began studying piano and fell in love with the instrument when she was just 5 years old. She continued to study classical piano for 12 years and has been teaching piano privately for the past 5 years, and is a recent graduate of Drew University with a double major in Music and Italian! Teaching piano has been one of the joys of her musical journey. Her students are extremely motivated and enjoy practicing and performing. Jackie’s teaching philosophy prioritizes the individual needs of each student. In her teaching, she emphasizes self-discovery and the benefits of practicing. By providing her students with fun and simple strategies for practicing, her students are encouraged to learn, improve, and make new discoveries both in the studio and at home!
John is one of our awesome guitar and bass teachers! He has been playing guitar since he was 12 years old. He has been in bands since he was 14, and his current band is called Kreil. You can find the band’s music on streaming services! John has an associate degree in Guitar Performance from the County College of Morris and a Bachelor's degree in Music History and Industry from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He has been teaching for 3 years now, and is so excited to teach new students at Bach to Rock!
Katie is so excited to be teaching Kids n Keys, Piano, and Flute lessons at Bach to Rock! She is currently studying to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Montclair State University. She started teaching private lessons to students in 2017 and absolutely fell in love with it! She also loves to listen to and play all different genres of music, which is another reason why she loves B2R! Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the progress her students make! Kevin is one of our fantastic drums and guitar teacher, who received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance with a concentration in Percussion from Caldwell University. He interned for Caldwell University’s Summer Intensive Percussion Camp working with famous drummers such as Tommy Igoe and Mark Guiliana. His music taste has a wide range such as jazz, classical, rock Latin, etc. If you’ve always wanted to become an awesome drummer, Kevin is the perfect teacher for you!
Michele is a creative, encouraging instructor ready to rock and roll teaching Voice and Early Education at Bach to Rock! She received her Bachelor’s from the Eastman School of Music/University of Rochester in Voice Performance and Brain & Cognitive Science, received a Master’s from the University of Maryland Opera Studio, and performs internationally as a professional opera/musical theater performer and voice instructor. But don’t let Michele’s classical background fool you – her musical passions and stage experience include: musical theater, pop, jazz, indie/folk, and rock. Her favorite part of teaching is helping students find their unique sound and musical style, and seeing them thrive both in the practice room and on stage. Nick, one of our guitar and bass teachers, is a multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, session musician, and songwriter. His hometown resides in the country landscapes of Sussex County area in Glenwood, NJ. He recalls music as always playing an important role in his life since early childhood, and has been playing guitar for over a decade! As a graduate from The College of Saint Rose, he has been primarily noted for his guitar playing under the R&B/Soul, Jazz and Funk genres. You can find his music online via all streaming services! Rachel is excited to be teaching voice, flute, piano and early education classes at Bach to Rock! She is a graduate of Montclair State University where she studied Music Education and Special Education. She is currently an elementary music teacher in Bergen county, too! Rachel is classically trained in voice, but her interests also include a wide variety of Broadway, jazz and pop! She enjoys making lessons fun and engaging for all of her students! Stephanie brings so much fun and energy to Bach to Rock's Early Education Program! Steph teaches Rock N Roll, Rock City, Piano, and Voice. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Music with a Concentration in Music Industry from Monmouth University, has performed and toured all over the East Coast and travels to Nashville to write and perform country music as half of Country duo Spinn alongside Director and sister, Cheryl! Steph has a great passion for performance and enjoys watching her tiny students fall in love with music every week!
